Meridae Games signs game designer Yves Tourigny

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (18 JULY, 2016) — Meridae Games announced today that it has signed a contract with Game Artisans of Canada game designer Yves Tourigny to publish his game Flicking Finches, a dexterity game where rival flocks of colorful finches compete for Charles Darwin's attention in the Galapagos Islands.

"When I first ran across Flicking Finches, I was immediately charmed by the Yves' whimsical art and the entire premise of the game", said Doug Bass, the company's founder. "Yves was kind enough to share the prototype rules and art and I was pleased to discover a light-hearted and fun game, with just the right amount of strategy. Yves is a multi-talented individual, a true creative, and we are excited to be working with him in the coming months to bring the game to gamers and their families in 2017." Designer Yves Tourigny commented "I have a great fondness for flicking games, and I'm beyond happy to have found a publisher who shares this passion."

Flicking Finches is a dexterity game for 2-4 players that can be played in about 30 minutes. Meridae Games plans to publish Flicking Finches in 2017, but will be offering a sneak peek during Gen Con 2016 at the Colts Grille on Thursday, August 4th, from 8pm until midnight.
